I put the Maxxis 225/75/15 E's on my 5th wheel last year. World of difference over the D rated tires that came on it. I liked them so much a bought some 14" D rated to put on my flat trailer. Both trailers pull better now.

Just wanted to post this bit of information that I recieved from two different major tire stores today. I was planning on installing my LT265/75-16E tires from my truck and replacing my 235/85-16 tires. Both are 31" and I had the width in the fender well so I thought I would be good to go. Well both of them didn't recommend doing that because RV rims are normally narrower then truck rims so the tires balloon some. He said I would be driving a ticking time bomb just waiting for a tire to blow. This recommendation came after I was all ready to get new bigger tires mounted on the truck. Now I am looking at the different tires. Just wanted to pass that on to those with the same idea I had. If you have wider rims that is different.

evidentily my tires are made by greenball. has anyone had any issues with this brand? they also make towmaster.

I just replaced the Greenball Transmaster on my WW FSC 2800 2-axle trailer. I had changed from the stock 15" wheels to 16" wheels and had the highest rated (3,500 pounds) Transmaster tires installed in July 2007.

This past August, after 6,000 miles, one of them blew apart and another had tread separation around the entire circumference of the tire. They are stamped Made in China on the sidewall. Junk!!!

I replaced them with Michelin XPS rib LT tires.

I firmly believe that LT tires are the only way to go on trailers. ST tires do not last, especially on toy haulers.

I have a Fuzion, 40 feet and it came with Mission Tires from the rice paddies in China. I get blow outs, they turn color, etc.

I am replacing the undersized 15 inch rims with 16's with Michelin XPS Ribs, E Rated instead of D rated.

The tire guy I have who I trust said when guys come in to transport million dollar horses to go to the races he always puts them on the Mich XPS Ribs.

Good enough for me.

I will post a pic once it is done.

Piece of mind is priceless..
