I want to do the 2 day train trip up copper canyon & back this year, but the problem is our dog. We will be there around the end of the first week in January. Anyone else out there with the same issue who would consider exchanging pet sitting for 2 days? We don't have a lot of flexibility in time. We plan on crossing the border around NY's day and we have to be in PV by Jan 23.

Might want to contact an RV park in El Fuerte or Los Mochis. I would bet they can make arrangements for storing your rig and your pet.

A couple of years ago we made the train trip through the Copper Canyon. We made arrangements for the El Fuerte RV Park to look after our dogs (2). Bill's handiman was the one to look after the dogs and we were pleased with him. I am not sure about Los Mochis because it seems to have changed ownership but you could try contacting them. Good luck and enjoy the Copper Canyon - it is fantastic.

Try the Bugamvillia RV park in El Fuerte. They are listed in Church's book. We left our rigs there last February and people were also leaving their pets for the management to look after. It seemed to be a safe place to store our rigs while we spent four days up at the Copper Canyon area.

Check out our web site for more information on the copper canyon and the RV park.
