after packing the wheel bearings and checking/adjusting the brakes on my rampage this weekend, ive found that i need to replace all equalizers and shackles before i take it back to the dunes. been thinking about this ez-flex system for a while, looks like its time to do it. those of you who have done it, does your rig tow better? smoother? im hoping it will help a little with the bouncing and chucking that my 5er exibits badly.
thanks

I would highly recommend it!!. If you had a chance to read my original posting
The Value of a Pre-Trip Inspection
you will see that I had a shackle failure on my Skyline Rampage 337(tandem axle though.) The EZ-Flex kit certainly tows smoother and less bounce. I've never had a chucking issue (trailer or otherwise!!) so I can't comment on that. I would go for it and not look back. I'm sure your triple axle 377 will get similar benefits. Once you see the beef on these Dexter units you will start to wonder about ALL the other trailers on the road that are running around on a ticking time bomb.

My trailer tows about the same. No more, no less chucking. I have not towed with my jeep in it yet. That will come later this month.

We just finished adding the Dexter kit to my WW CR3705. Very nice kit and hopefully worth the work. The left side was a bear since one of the hangers was bent a little. This later caused the last bolt on the rear spring to be difficult to put in. The right side went very smooth.
I also had to use the bottom hanger hole to avoid the equalizer from hitting the hanger. This raised the height of the trailer about 2.5- 3 inches.
The instructions that were provided say,"If static bump clearance is greater that 2.5", a bump stop should be used to avoid overstressing of leaf springs. Static Bump Clearance of less than 1.5" may limit full suspension movement and result in possible damage to the frame and/or axles when operating on rough and uneven road surfaces. Tire clearance should always be greater than the bump clearance to help prevent tire contact to the underbody surfaces in the event of a suspension component failure".
Since this raised my trailer I now have almost 5+ inches of bump clearance. Has anyone taken the time to add the bump stop on their trailer? Do those that flip axles add the bump stops or does it apply to flipped axles? Just wondering? Mine are not flipped.

So, if I am reading this right, you should have between 1.5 to 2.5 inches of clearance between axle and frame or bumpstop..

Has anyone asked them for their definition of "Static Bump Clearance"??
Does this mean springs hanging with no tires on them, or with tires on them, or with weight on them (off the jack stands), etc.
To me it seems vaque as every Toy Hauler weights different and is also loaded differently.

Yeah, it would be nice to know, because I take it as, "There should always be between 1.6 to 2.5 inches of clearance from axle to frame or bumpstop".
