Give us some specifics and where to write, haven't seen anything about this but don't venture up that way to ride.
If you're into dual sport you can check AMA District 36 for riding info.
There are some sadly misinformed and unthinking people out there who know nothing about ORV trails and usage. Make a ORV trail and the land is destroyed forever? If you believe that, you haven't seen what happens when an established and well-used ORV trail in a forest is closed off or re-routed. Within 1 year, it would be very difficult to tell a trail was ever there. In 2 years, you can't tell. I've seen this many times in a National Forest, and one wouldn't know there was ever a trail there if they hadn't used it a year or two earlier.
Tree-huggers should be a little more careful about picking their fights, and learn a bit more about the land they propose to "save".
And what the heck is a NY congresscritter doing writing a bill that doesn't affect anybody anywhere near NY? She doesn't have a dog in the hunt, don't you think she should be deferring that action to the elected representatives from the affected states? And, please don't use that tired "it affects us all" argument. It doesn't wash.

DITTO OH48Lt. Thanks for your sensible comments. Fortunately there are many of us that can see past the B.S. also. This is a big deal and those who are pushing the land grabs would love for us to see things their way and to step down. Those of us who love to ride our ATVs, UTVs, Jeeps and other offroad vehicles are making much adoo about nothing? Yea, right!!
FYI, there are many places the environmentalists are after in Utah like Moab and Kanab. If the environmentalists and government are successful in shutting these places down, the towns may as well shut down also. It is mostly due to recreationalists that these places are even on the map. Environmentalists don't support communities with the money that we do.

Sir I live here and you are WRONG.
Also, why is a D from NY telling people in the Rocky Mountain west how they need to live?

We lost a riding/hunting area just six miles from my house for "everglades restoration". Our grandkids learn to ride out there.
The info is a little dated but it has happend.

They have not installed the pumps as they ran out of money.(They knew they did not have the funding before starting.)The area will flood without any control if we get a good wet huricane.
