There is nothing common about the two type awnings, so its pretty much a complete replacement to go manual. Fill the holes and ebay the rest.

I think if you get the kit millenma installed (free from A&E or CW) you'll learn to appreciate that electric. My buddy has the A&E with spring loaded arm and it works great in the rain.

What is the dropdown kit you are referring to? I have an 09 Rockwood with an electric awaning - wish I had the manual owning at times. What is this kit?

Yep, thats it - it's spring loaded and will drop from the weight of the rain, or you can manually pull it down and tighten the knob to hold it there. Gets ugly if you don't release the knob before you retract it.

The new factory A&Es have them on both sides.

Do I just order it directly from A&E? Definitely want to get one b/c I hate that my current awning can't be lowered on one side.

No you can't order it from A &E. You need to go thru a dealer or camping world. There are 2 different kits, so you will need measurments. Your dealer can help. These are a no charge item. I know because I got the wrong one the first time.
