Our 2005 Workhorse Auto Park brake failed locked up and caught fire. It is the new j72 version. Not the earlier j71. The j72 is suppose to be very reliable. The bad news is the unit can not be repaired. The replacement cost for the part only was $2,400.00 not counting labor. I guess I will be chalking the wheels for a while. If anyone knows where there is a late model Workhorse salvage available please PM me. I am currently checking all the usual RV salvage sites.

I just went to their site. Not much info, looks like you have to call in for parts and information. I did look under their "Specials" and saw a locking gas cap for $40.83 plus tax and shipping. I'm thinking if this is their special price, I might not be able to afford these guys.

Just for kicks I Googled WH locking gas caps and found a locking gas cap for $16.40.

Dale and I connected earlier. He is correct in saying that we know very little about the J72. I believe that Workhorse buys this system as a package from Carlisle. None of the components even remotely resemble the J71 version. I would expect that most Workhorse outlets know even less about this system than they appear to know about the J71.

I'm hoping that Dale and I can look into this further in the near future. Maybe we can find a way around this dilemna.

The reason for spelling is so that all of the words don't look the same.
