P.S. - cctv had a good suggestion. Go to Minn. Monday nite and watch Favr get beat by Rogers.

I don't dispute that. That would be my guess too.

94 is a mess right now lots of construction ( Hubbards Cave) I 80 from I 57 to I 39 1.25 hrs I39 north to Rt 43 to Milwaukee approx 2.5 hrs i think 1 toll. A long way to avoid some tolls. If you have time order an Ipass ($10.00 plus toll deposit) save 50% off normal tolls

Going around wastes a lot more fuel and time than the toll booth fees.

Here is from my travel log in March on a Tuesday morning....

*****
Now we are headed for Chicago.. will hit it just about 9:45 am Central time.
first toll 1.50
1.50
1.50
1.85
2.85

Less than 10 bucks and we were through to the Wisconsin border by 11 am. We only slowed down for toll booths, and rest of the time was normal 55-60 mph driving. That was worth the tolls by far.

We came across I80 from Indiana, then north on 294 Tri State Tollway, right up to join with 94 north of Chicago and then into Wisconsin.

My Streets and Trips log show it at 74 miles from the border of Indiana to the border of Wisconsin. Took us an hour and 15 minutes.

I-39/90 is down to two lanes both ways from where they come together to the WI border. It can be miserable, esp at rush hour - 16 miles of heavy backup and narrow lanes. I was through there Labor Day weekend.
