After looking for a few years we finally found a MH that has no stripes, plaids or flowers in the upholstery. It's a Damon Intruder and the fabric is an ultra suede type with machine embroidered swirls. Can't remember what they called it, anyway, the window treatments aren't all frilly either. We took a Winnebago tour a few years back and the guy that did the tour for us told us their surveys showed that "older people like earth tones". I suggested he might want to take a newer look at the people who are buying motorhomes!
We've added a few pictures in the living area and some wallpaper in the bathroom...we got lucky, it really didn't need much.
I've actually asked at the places that we've taken the tours if there's a woman on their design team....one guy told me the president of the company was a woman..I said okay, has she spent any time in one of these things or is she just signing checks? Cannot imagine the builders of motorhomes not getting input from the people looking to buy their product.
Definately of the "less is more" school when it comes to furnishing a motorhome...

Make fabric shades from old miniblinds

Oooo you gotta see this. Take an old set of miniblinds...take them apart and reuse a few of the slats and the rest of the mechanism to make beautiful new roman fabric shades. This is a fantasic RV mod project!

Outdoor entertainment center installation

This mod was posted at the ModMyRv and I am really impressed! I can't imagine anything much scarier than cutting into the side of the rig like that, but it is a beautiful job.

Not all decor related, but a lot of good mods here in the galleries at the forums for ModMyRv.com . I am finding this to be a great site for RV DIY folks!

Lots of fun changes. I love personalizing our Rig. Photos are at www.skjennagard.ca

I've recovered valances, changed dining tables & chairs, added artwork, sewn slipcovers, quilts, curtains, etc. we are going for a "english cottage look". I love roses and flowers on fabrics, but antique prints, not new modern looks. Haven't changed flooring (yet) but we have hardwood and a nice somewhat neutral olive carpet that's easy to match other colours to.

Its fun!

Thanks for these pics...I do love that any garden decor. The table switch was great and one of the first things that I will do, too.
