You might want to try Frog City, about ten miles west of Lafayette. They have a website.

There are several others in the area, such as Poche's Fish-N-Camp in Breaux Bridge, but Frog City may be your best bet. We over-nighted there last spring and would rate it as very good.

There is a nice Louisiana Welcome Center about 18 miles east of Lafayette. There's RV parking in front of the Center and truck/RV parking on the other side of the interstate. It would be fine for an overnight rest stop if that's all you need. There's also a dump station at the Center.

We stay at Poches and eat at Mulates or Prejeans. We love the Lafayette area.

The Lafayette KOA in Scott is a good stopping place. The sites overlooking the pond are the furthest from the freeway noise. One of my favorite Cajun restaurants - "Fezzo's" - is right down the road.

We have used the facility several times. We actually plan our driving schedules to where we overnight here. No noisy 18 wheelers!
It is an A PLUS stop.

We spent a couple nights at Frog City just outside Lafayette. We'd do it again if in the area.

Parking is available on both sides of I-10. Use the south side. There are also a lot of rv parks betwen Baton Rouge and the Texas state line if you miss the Lafayette exit. Seems like one every 10 miles.

Instead of turning into the Welcome Center continue on south about a mile or two. Frenchmen's Wilderness is on the right. Lots of trees and quiet.
