Just wondering if anyone who has a diesel or switched from gas to diesel regrets it for any reason or wishes you had gas. For example, does it seem that going diesel is more expensive or more difficult to maintain, etc.?

I've had no problems with ones I've owned over 15 years and fuel hasn't been that bad in comparison to gas.

Nope best move I ever did was get a desel truck.Just drove from Philly to Florida and having the power to tow my some what heavy 5er was a walk in the park.I do my own oil and filter changes,so I guess I do save a little on that part of ownership.I will never go back to a gas truck.

15 years, two Cummins, no regrets. Maintenance wise, the diesels haven't cost me any more than the 4 cars I've owned in the same period.

No regrets either. I just couldn't believe the ease in towing the fiver with the diesel. Regular maintenace is a bit more expensive but well worth it. JMO

Short drive in the winter (Well below freezing) it takes longer to warm up than a gas (bigger block, more coolant and oil)

But I would never go back.

No regrets going to diesel or back to gas. Next truck could be either.
