I tried uploading the pdf file to google in my photo area and posting the link but it requires people to have a Google account to read it. How can I post a pdf file so everyone can read it?

Thanks
Randy

I found a link selection on my google account that said, let anyone with "this special link" view the doccumment, so I changed the link in my post. I am hoping it now works.

To read a pdf file, members would always have to click on a link and download the file - most browsers will open it if a reader is available.

If Google requires others to have an account, then you will have to use another service. A Google search for "file hosting service" will find you several.

Perhaps someone on the forum is already using such a service and will let you know what it is.

I just bring the file up, highlight the address, URL, then copy, CTRL C, and then in the body of your post, click on the "Link" emblem (looks like a green helmet with goggles on it) and when the box come up, paste the address into the URL box, CTRL V, and then tab down and put what ever title you want in that box, then click on "finished"

Here is a sample of a pasted PDF file

Would someone (or several of You) please try the following link and let me know if it works for You.

I figured it out.

I set up a free Google document account and uploaded my pdf file there. I then selected the "share" link and copied the link given.

Make sure You SAVE the box giving you the link. (if You do not save it, the link will require readers to set up an account and log in)

Using the link copied, select the add a link button on the forum posting menu and insert/copy the link and add a title. Submit your posting and it works.

- Thanks

No worky

Try the link I put in my last post in this thread. You can upload without an account if you choose. Click the green upload a file bar, then the middle grey button to upload without making an account.

Yes it is working. You will have to deal with one pop up ad, but it downloaded the file just fine.
I would however suggest that you remove your personal information from the letter.
So did they do the work they said they did?
