Well gang,
I did a little test drive with Steer safe installed. Based on the fact that we have two straight roads in our area to test on, it seems to be working fine. The roads have some crown in them so, an accurate test is not complete. Most of my wandering problem is on longer straight runs like from San Diego to Las Vegas and many others we encountered on our recent trip in the western U.S.

Some of you were interested in my results of the test drive because you experience some or many of the same wandering characteristics. If you've read my other post(s)on this subject, you'll know I've done all the preliminary steps before adding aftermarket gadgets. So, in the interim, for anyone who cares, when I take the beast out for a longer ride and hit some straights that I know she'd be wandering on, I'll report on the "then" conditions and results. Thanks
Scott

Thanks for the update, but be sure to post the highway results, I'm interested in the wind gust truck passing. Thanks Bill

Our PO said it was the best $350 he spent on the 1992 P30 chassis the 10 years he owned it. Ours drives like a dream without truck and wind causing driving issues. Now you will know about 40 MPH cross winds but you sit feel a good degree of control.

Sounds like we have the same unit. I have the Steer safe on mine already and it still wandered. I took the unit to a good Alignment shopand paid $75.00 to get a alignment. No more wandering, it was mostly the alignment. Good luck.

How hard was it to install the "Steer safe kid?" Did you do it yourself?

It's not hard if you don't mind laying on your back and working. The kid or kit comes for the Vehicle. Following directions, and a few wrenches. A few hours at best. Bill

Here is another thread showing the install. Steer Safe install
