When I was adding my new trailer to my insurance, I had a hard time explaining to the person at the other end what kind of trailer it was. I told her it wasn't a tent trailer & it wasn't a fifth wheel. I think I said it's like a house trailer. She made some comment about cabin trailer.

Today I got the ins' slips in the mail & sure enough they have it listed as a cabin trailer.

I've only been directly RVing since '05, but have known folks w/ trailers for years. This is the 1st time of ever heard of a cabin trailer. Was this term used years ago?

Now I did seen a park model a couple of years ago @ the Cabela's in Dundee MI. It had radiused wood siding on it to simulate log construction. Maybe that's what she thought I had bought (rolling my eyes).

That's what I told her.

Maybe something was lost in the translation? No there didn't sound like a language issue. Probably TD Insurance hasn't updated their forms.
