I like referring to my TT as our cabin on wheels.

Might be worthwhile to call and ask for a definition of the TERM "Cabin Trailer". I've never heard of it as it would pertain to a STYLE of trailer. It would be much easier to get things corrected and clarified NOW than waiting until you have a claim. Could be difficult to explain how your "cabin" got to the middle of a highway bridge a thousand miles from home.

You have to ask yourself if you really want to do business with an isurance company who doesn't understand the term "Travel Trailer"

Get insurance through good sam, passport or any other rv club - they have the proper coverage for your TT and know what you are talking about

State Farm didn't have any issue with the term "Travel Trailer" either.

When I was adding my new trailer to my insurance, I had a hard time explaining to the person at the other end what kind of trailer it was. I told her it wasn't a tent trailer & it wasn't a fifth wheel. I think I said it's like a house trailer. She made some comment about cabin trailer.

Today I got the ins' slips in the mail & sure enough they have it listed as a cabin trailer.

I've only been directly RVing since '05, but have known folks w/ trailers for years. This is the 1st time of ever heard of a cabin trailer. Was this term used years ago?

just a question on your trailer. is it the regular bed or murphy bed
and what do you think of this trailer.

It's a sofa bed @ the front (48 x 72 bed @ back w/ overhead bunk) of the trailer. For me travelling solo & a couple of times a year @ the races w/ 1 or 2 extra people it should be perfect.
