I need new tires for my WWLE3505 and would like to replace them with the same type ( General American Trailer ST 225/75/15 load D) I'm going to replace all six so I'm looking for the best price. Has any one replaced theirs recently? If so where did you go and about how much? Is there a better tire that the General tires?

Anything would be helpful, Thanks

Move up to 16" wheels/tires. That is a much better option than General tires.

I just ordered Maxxis tires in that size load range E. Not recommending a brand, just 10 ply rating. Good luck.

Personally, I use nothing but Maxxis. I run the ST225 75$ 15E. Just my preference. JMHO If some is good and more is better, then too much is just enough.

If you're planning on E rated 15-in, make sure your rims are rated to handle it. It should be stamped somewhere on rim, inside/outside/maybe inside valley - tire would have to be removed.

LT's in 16-in would give you more options. But, of course, you would have to replaced all rims, including spare.

Stainless steel valve stems should also be installed.

I have Maxxis load range E tires on my TH and they have been great for 3.5 years. Look like new still.

I just bought 7 new MAXXIS 225/75 R-15 E rated tires. They cost me $1166.57 out the door from Discount tire. They replaced the 15 Carlisles that were stock on the Raptor. Had one tread seperation incident that caused $1050 in body damage to the toyhauler. I've only had one trip with the new tires and they seem good so far. The original tires only had 700 miles on them! Calisle was terrible to deal with.

I also put on the Maxxis 15 load E on my LE. The wheels and stems are rated to handle the E's. To see them look HERE on the first page.

I went to Discount Tire, they carried the Transmaster, E rated, 10 ply tires. Price was right since I was buying 7 of them and the last set of D rated held up really well. The E might be a little overkill but that's a good idea on tires.

I know there have been lots of complaints with the Greenball tires but properly loaded the Transmaster series has worked fine for me. I talked to the guy at Discount, he said they wouldn't even carry the D rated anymore because the E rated was only about $3 more per tire and held up better for larger trailers.

7 tires plus tax, mounted, balanced, installed for just under $1,000. And Discount has a great road hazard policy.

Don't take life too seriously, it's not permanent.

I recently put 6 "E" load range tires on our LE3305. $640 installed, out the door. Got them from Big Brand. They were a good bit less expensive than Discount Tire. I have purchased from both places. No complaints at either one. Would have liked to move up to 16" "E" rated wheels, but thats money that I didn't have.
