I have been struggling to find a camp ground in Florida, a place where we have never been. I searched for reviews on the ones that seemed suitable but didn't find much. This makes me think that most of us don't review the cgs where we have stayed. I know that I haven't so far but I think that I will from now on. It would have been great to read what other people thought of a cg and I suspect that other people would like the same opportunity. The fact that a cg is Good Sam approved doesn't seem to mean much. I'm not sure if they are ever inspected by GS. The same may apply to AAA/CAA. I want to encourage everyone to start writing their feelings and experiences about the places where we stay as we travel.

Don't know if you have looked, but I use www.rvparkreviews.com often. It helps me when I am going to an area I am unfamiliar with.

I post a review on every new campground we stay at. There are times when we will stay at the same c.g. within a short period of time. With rvparkreviews.com you can't post a review for the same c.g. within 90 days of your last. Nonetheless, it's one of the best places available for c.g. research.

You might try searching this Forum for the campground name to see if anyone has any comments about it. Keep in mind that people usually post negative comments more than positive ones; like toilet stalls that are small to start with and with a door that opens IN!

Can't believe that GS really gets to them all. Otherwise a couple we visited this August went down hill very very quickly. We are going to rely more on RVpark reviews.com.

We use and post reviews at www.rvparkreviews.com and have done so for the last year. Most of the parks that we used based on reviews from them where pretty accurate. You do have to read ALL the reviews posted for a particular CG to get a decent feel for it. We didn't get skunked at any park that we chose based on the reviews given.....

Well Dan, you are welcome to join me in Southwest Florida in North Fort Myers this winter at Raintree RV Resort Resort, which is a 5W rating with Woodall. It is really a nice place and we love it. It is reviewed in RVParkReviews. com. The longer you stay the cheaper it is. I am as guilty as the rest by not adding my comments to the reviews. I stay for 5 months at a time and wish I could stay longer.

Thanks everyone. I had not found RVParksReview until now. I wish that I had since the reviews on the place that we booked are very mixed.
CAA/AAA have complete reciprocity so I imagine CAA looks at Canadian sites while AAA does the US ones. We have only been back into RVing for a short time and when we last had a trailer none of these resources existed.
