I was thinking about stopping at the COE park at St Lucie on the way to the keys in a couple of weeks but noticed that the available waterfront sites had a note saying tents were not allowed as the site was too steep. We are in a 37 ft Class A, but I was wondering if the sites are too steep to properly level ??? Any advice from recent experience would be appreciated.

Sites 1, 2 and 3 are waterfront for RV's. We stayed there in a 38ft just 3 weeks ago.. good luck on getting a site book ahead.

Thanks for the input--- I was surprised to find that sites 2,3,5,6,8 were all available for the date I wanted. Will be a good stopping point on the way to the keys

Any site is very good there, none steep. We have stayed on #3. It is at the end and on the water. No shade but a covered picnic table. Good place for manatee and gator watching. Good place for dogs. Nothing for kids. Very limited showers, one or two stalls, but it is a small campground.

We also will be stopping there on our way to thr Keys in Dec.
