Hi there,
We have obtained an insurance quote from Good Sam, Victoria, and National Interstate Insurance. Both Victoria and National Interstate are cheeper than Goodsam, but we wanted to see what everyone may have had out there in regards to any of these companies. The latter two were obtained through Gilbert Insurance in Florida.
If you could lets know what you may have experienced, we'd greatly appreciate it.
Happy Camping! Eric and Carol Anderson

We have National Interstate. Have never had to use them, but when someone hit our hitch (which they paid for) I did call them to alert them that we had been in an accident, and they gave me a claim number if there was a problem, told me what information to get from the person (company truck) that hit us, and called back to make sure that everything had been repaired and that we had had the coach checked out to make sure there was no damage. Since it was a slow speed (less than 5 mph) hit at a stop light, the hitch took the hit (DH was taking his Class B driving test in Texas) and the coach was fine, but they checked a few months later to make sure that everything was ok.

National Interstate. The spring of 2008 bounced over an unmarked humped RR crossing. Bent the axles on the trailer and damaged a sway bar on the truck. National Interstate paid the damage on the trailer but not the truck. The adjustor moved really slow on this job. Taking over two months. Lots of phone calls to try to get her moving.
This Sept. Hit a deer with the car. Paid for damage minus the deductable of course. Adjustor was excellent here. All done within 24 hours. Check is on its way.

Progresive has been good for us. Plus they cover the rig in Mexico for comprehensive, at no extra charge.

When actually full-timing it is very advisable to be with an insurance company that writes your policy so it recognizes the fact that you live in it all the time, as many trailers have disclaimers about full time use. When we went from full time to part time our policy coverage remained the same but the premiums were cut nearly in half.
