I'll be in Q for the winter, bring me a true Philly cheese steak!!! If you prospect with a metal detector, stop by the town park in Q for the coin hunt..usually the 3rd sat. of the month..We prospect for gold(really hard work) over around Dome Rock, claims owned by the Q metal detectors club. January is THE month to be in Q. Rock and gem dealers, rv show, car show, lots of vendors selling everything from junk to treasures! BLM land available for camping or about 50 rv parks in the town.Silly Al's for pizza! The grubstake for fish fry on friday night! Don't dress up-jeans are the norm! Are you looking for directions? Q is right on I-10(135 miles west of Phoenix)25 miles east of the Colorado river..what else do you need to know? just ask..Dona

Mike and Peg,

I have been wintering in the "Q" area for lots of years and can probably answer most any questions you have.

I am going to be reversing your trip next Spring to attend a graduation in Princton, NJ and would be very interested in hearing about your routing and road experiences.

Ping me for "Q" specifics,

Roger

Depending on exactly when you plan to leave PA (I'm assuming winter), I'd probably head south as fast as I could and pick up a southerly route across country...like I-10.

route I would take and I have driven most of it. If weather is bad when you get to ABQ, I would wait it out. Not worth heading further South. But if you do want to, head down to I10 and make your way West.

Doesn't look weather friendly for the end of December.
