How do I get my pocket door off to replace the back device that slides on the track?
It almost looks like I have to take part of a wall off to remove the door.
Any ideas or experience with this problem would be appreciated.
Thanks, Mike

Look on top of the door where the hanging support is. There should be some type of cam lock devise built into the hanger. It will probably be very hard to push, but it will go and this will drop the door off of the hanger. Then you can pull the door sideways and out of the pocket to release the other one. Good luck.

You will probably have to remove a cover piece of plywood to get to the hangers above. It is about 2-3" wide to hide the track & is held by a few small screws.

Like hilodil said, there is a plastic cam lock. I use a slender flat blade screwdriver to lock and unlock them. One of my pocket doors guides likes to come undone during travel, so I have gotten pretty handy, not by choice, at this task.

sometimes lifting up on the door slighty will make it easier to unhook and rehook what the above are telling you. Might not be so important because your door could be lite weight but just a thought if you have trouble.
