Before I knew to change the preferances in windows media player to rip in mp3 format, I ripped in wma format. I want to convert all these files to mp3. I have Vista Home Premium.
1. Is there a way to do this in Windows Media Player?
2. If not, is there an easy free convertion program I can download?

Thanks for your help.

Suggest you try Ashamboo Burning Studio. Free download and it is easy to use and I think it will do what you want. I know I was able to convert MP3 back to the regular disc format to play on regular CD players.

Just google "wma to mp3" with the quotes and pick the one you want.

Will Ashamboo copy music to my iPod so that I don't have to use iTunes ?

Thanks everyone. OK, here is what I did. I downloaded from Cnet.com the Switch program. It works great and easy for converting the files. I was also having a problem burning CD's so I downloaded the program "Hershey" suggested, Ashamboo Burning Studio 6. For the moment, I'm in good shape. Thanks again!!

Sorry, but I don't see that as an option in the menu.
