BTW.....don't know about CoachNet, but Good Sam ERS will also respond to problems with you TV....even if you're not towing.

Coach-Net covers all of the non-commercial use vehicles you own, rent, or borrow.

Coach net - just had to use them again last week. Very prompt. Called to let us know what to expect. Called back to ask if they had arrived yet.....
You get the picture. Tow truck guys have been very good.

I had good luck with Good Sam ERS but switched to Coachnet for the following reason: Good Sam will not tow a trailer if you are towing one behind your motorhome. Coachnet will tow both. I regularly tow a buggy trailer, a boat, or a jet ski trailer, and I don't want them to be stranded beside the road when my motorhome is towed.

No matter what ERS you decide to subscribe to, just remember you are dealing with human beings, and occasionally mistakes will occur, or you will be unhappy with the service. Over all Coach.net and Good Sam do a good job. The most important thing is that you understand what you are buying and how it works, and what it covers.

Does Coach Net use real live people to answer their phones? We have Good Sams, and while they handled our first call well, the next time, it took 7 or 8 minutes on hold to get someone to answer. I didn't like that at all, especially because we were sitting alongside busy I-44 west of St. Louis with a blowout!

Another vouch for Coach Net.

Yes they have a live person for you to talk to. First you are asked if you call is RV related or passenger car related and it's a breeze from there.

I actually used them for the first time today. I was leaving my home in Williston, Fl. to go to a drag race in Ga. I stopped at a grocery store close to the entrance ramp for I-75, only 15 miles from home. After putting my groceries in the MH it would not start. I thought I was having a problem with the starter earlier in the week and worked on it, so I thought I had it fixed. I took off the old starter and put on my spare new starter that I always carry and while trying it I saw smoke coming from the area of the chassis fuse box and where 3 different shut off solenoids are for turning off chassis power and coach power. When I went outside I also saw smoke from the area of the battery slide tray. I disconnected the battery cables and looked for some sign of what went wrong. After hooking the battery cables back up I had no chassis power at all.

I pulled out my Coach Net card and called the 1-800 number. The first question I was asked is if I was safe. I told them I was and after explaining the problem to them and giving my location, I was told they would arrange to send a tow truck to me and tow it to a repair center. I explained to the person on the phone that I was close to home and very familiar with the city of Gainesville and that most likely they would have me towed completely across town and if it was possible I would prefer to have it towed back to Williston to a repair shop I use for all my vehichles. I explained that the distance would be about the same either way. They made arrangements for the tow truck and got me towed back to my home town without any issues.

My experience with Coach Net for the first time was excellent.
