Thanks guys as usual great info! Now being in Ma. there aren't many locations you could do this in, or even all of New England so Iam assuming boondocking is more popular in different parts of the country, here you would be tresspassing.

Thats good to know billtex, we do plan on doing a lot of beach camping as thats what our neighbor does, we went a couple of times for a visit and realized it will be a great way for us to get a way, and not be far from home as we have 6 horses at home!

I can call what we do anything I like.... and I call it all boondocking.
After 848 nights "parking" anywhere we want and going to bed we seem to have more experence than most. That's just since Thanksgiving 2002.
We don't go to campgrounds... in the woods, along the lakes and rivers, in the deserts, in towns, in cities, any where.
We are totally self contained (self sufficient)... we have no need for an electrical connections (but will plug in at your house if we are invited)
Many truck campers are equipped to boondock like we do... but their owners seem to be uncomfortable when they don't have a lot of support.
My wife and I are uncomfortable when we have strangers (even if in TC's) crowding in too close.
I think when you have 3 or more RV's together... it's a campground... no matter where it is...
Hope to see you along the way...

Sleepy,
Wow, must be fun to go back and dig up pics from various locations. From your time of posting, I can see how you earn your posting name.

The nice thing about full retirement is the freedom to do anything you want at any time...
I slept only 4 or 5 hours a night when I was in my work years... usually 2 full time jobs... one for the National Lab and the other job was doing independent research, developing and promoting patented technologies. I ran on adrenelin.
I started cutting back at 60 and retired at 65... my body and brain were still in high gear... I still wake up at all hours with my gears turning... and enjoy it... even when we are traveling.
I often read a book in one or two days (or nights)... about once a month take a nap.
My wife can get me to sit now... I learned how at the wild Horse Pass Casino parking lot (in the picture above with the awning out.
Life is good, I wouldn't change a thing. I plan on living another 40 years.
