Home Depot and Lowes have been having sales on a little 120volt job that works quite well. My son bought one to run an air nailer and it did a credible job.

It was maybe $50-$60 as I recall.

I have a Tsunami 12v air compressor bought it at pep boys, you can find them on Amazon and other places, approx $60-$70, clamps directly to the battery posts has a 30amp fuse, and goes to 120lbs

I have this same compressor. It is a good unit. It comes with a little air filter as well, which also quietens it down a little.

I can pump all 4 of my tires(lt235/75/15) from 32 to 45 psi in under 14 minutes. It averages an 18 amp draw.

If you get it, take a razor knife and remove all the extra flashing on the plastic airfilter's intake holes, as about half of them are not open.

I have a Tsunami 12v air compressor, and they are what they say they are and it has lasted 4 years. This is a new record for a reasonably priced 12v compressor and exceeds all prior ones by 3 years and 362 days.
