We're leaving Ft. Worth tomorrow & should be in Georgia by Friday or so. Is there anything good to see while going across I-20, and are there any special places we should go to see the autumn leaves when we get to Georgia? Thanks!

Vicksburg is worth a stop. The National Park Service does a good job at the civil war battlefield there and there is a nice driving tour of the historic district. There are also several antebellum homes to tour if you're into that. Start at the big visitor's center at the foot of the bridge.

Leaving Ft Worth on Wed and being in GA on Friday doesn't leave much time to stop and see many sights.

I'll agree with Vicksburg. Even with a large motorhome or trailer, you will be able to take the driving tour (I hauled a 30' TT w/o problems).

For the leaves, you will need to get to the higher elevations, at least up to the Helen area and northward. Was through there two weeks ago and the color was just starting to show. If you have a few days, you can base near Helen and take a day trip up into NC towards Cherohala Skyway.
