BAL. They make 2 kinds. The newer X chocks retract more to fit between narrower spaces between the tires. The older style are good, but do not retract as far. Measure the space between the tires and then check the manuf`s specs to see if they fit your application, if you go that route. Got mine on sale at CW and yes you need 2 of them. They are not hard to get tight and come with a ratchet.

Here's one style of DIY chocks - click on the link in my signature...

My first ones (in the link) were made from 4X4 and 1/2 threaded rod... My new one's are made from 4X6 stock and 5/8" threaded rod - very robust...

IMO ONE Rotochok, used on side where tires are up on leveler blocks. Then use cheap plastic wedge chocks for tires on the ground. Works great for us.

That's how I used to do it but I found locking both sides was much steadier. YMMV.

I use the Bal X chocks on my Roo. Easy to use & you can throw a lock on if desired. I found RVDirects web site has them the cheapest when we bought them over the summer.

Rotochocks on both sides for me. Relatively expensive, but worth it for us.

Rotochocks will complete their 5th Season this weekend. Still look like new and perform flawlessly. Something about only crying once when buying quality comes to mind.

I have to put in my vote for Rotochoks. I had them on the laredo 5er for five years now there on the Roo and still holding strong.

I built mine like in LAdams pictures but used 3/4 in. pipe clamps you don't need a wrench.
