I try to go 65. Occasionally I end up a bit slower or faster (faster when passing). But it feels good right at 65.

I do what the trucks do, including moving to another lane through heavy traffic in cities.

I pull a TT and was told to obtain the best service from the new tires to keep the speed at 60 and no higher. When a posted truck speed is lower, we do the lower speed. Like several have said, retired, in no rush plus we plan our drive each so we are on the road no longer than 6 hours if at all possible.

Okay so I didn't read all the posts and don't know if this was mentioned or not. In CA the speed limit is 55 when towing, not just trucks but any vehicle when towing. New signs claify this question. So when I tow I drive at the speed limit or flow of truck traffic. I usually set the controls at 60 on the interstates and foot control in the mountains and twisty roads.
In states with no speed limit for trucks I still drive around 60 because it is comfortable and the MoHo handles well and I can relax a bit more.

I, too, am retired and in no hurry. Very seldome drive over 55 as we tow
a Chevy Tracker and on numerous checks have found that this is our optimum
mileage speed. Anything over than mileage begins to drop. Higher speed is
not worth the extra gas!!

58 - 62mph on the open road. Fast enough to get there in a reasonable time. Occasionally run 65MPH on freeway or divided 4-lane to get there faster.

I did hear from my brother who is a driving instructer for AARP. That IL. was going to raise the 55 MPH to 65 MPH in 2010. Not that I ever noticed many doing 55 to start with.
Ohio DID until July of this year....now its ALL can do 65 mph

At 45k lbs, i am nowhere close to a semi-truck (80k lbs)
I feel i am more like a intercity bus.
So i go like a bus does, typical 65mph ...

Speed Limit Signs: Do U follow Truck limits or Car limits?
I drive to maintain myself with the flow of traffic....dont matter if its 25 or 95..( )
If I feel the speed of traffic is UNSAFE for either the conditions OR the highway itself..I just get off that highway!!
