I know a lot of us our winding our season down this time of year. I was just wondering how many nights out you've averaged this past season?
When we bought our 1st camper the guy told us most people average about 14 nights out in a season (here in PA usually from May till October). We take it as a personal challenge to at least double that number. Just wondering how other families make out on a typical season?

To answer my own question... when the following weekend is over we'll have had 32 nights out this season. That makes it a little easier to winterize knowing we've had a lot of camping this year

We have been out 32 nights so far, we have 4 coming up in November and a week at Myrtle Beach after Christmas. Giving us total of 43 nights. We started camping this past May.

By the time we are done camping we will be over our usual 80-100 nights a year. Added to the over sixty nights the last time we used the trailer in August we have 41 nights in a tent. We hope to go again this month and probably over Thanksgiving as well. It will depend on how deep the snow is.

There will be a few more days in December after we begin this winter's snowbird migration, but so far since January 1: 109.

Pushing 30 and plenty more to go, camping has no "season" down here.

Wow, based on some of the responses I'm almost ashamed to reply. We have been out a total of 3 times totaling 12 nights. We leave this Thursday for 3 nights and then at Thanksgiving time we will do another 4 nights for a total of 19 for the year. Now we did just buy our motorhome in June so we missed out on some opportunites in the spring. With two kids its sometimes hard to sneak in weekend trips due to their activities.

When our kids grew up and left, sort of thought we might camp less or not enjoy it as much. Wrong. Since retiring and geting into snowbirding in winter and workamping out West in summer, we spend about 40% of the time living in our small 5th wheel. So that would be around 140 or so days a year pretty consistently now for 9 years. But we don't really count.

Hi

we did about 14 nights this summer. Also because of the different activities that my kids have. I am ashamed to say that we took the plane to travel across Canada to visit Whisler and Vancouver. It was cheaper and faster to fly from Quebec to British Columbia than to drive this long distance.

I think we only missed three weekends from around the first of April till the second week of Oct. Spent a week going out to Ohio and back. Went to Wisconsin for a three day weekend. And spent most of the rest locally. I would rather be in my camper than at home, there are less chores!
