I still am planning to spend the winter in TX. We will leave Oregon DEC 5 or so,, trapse on down thru CA,NV,AZ then NM. Stay at the Texas Gauadalupe NP, Then "if not froze out" on to Big Bend NP. By Christmas we should be close to the Padre Island NP. There are several areas that arenot free at all but you have to hit a place with showers sometime. After that the plan is LA, Fl. A bit more isolated but thats what we like. Also some great boondocking spots in Lincoln NF in that area.
