We are going to be heading out on November 7th. This will be our first extended stay in our 2001 Fleetwood Bounder. We are hoping that the house sells while we are away. Heading down I-75 to Canton Texas where we will stay for a week before heading on up to Mesa Spirit for 3 months and then?????????

I am trying to wrap up a few things on the MH so that we can be in Nashville, TN for November 7 for my sister's and daughter's birthday. They both are on the same day. Makes it convenient for me.

Congratulations on getting out and I really do hope your house sells. There is nothing better than living on the road. We left MI in May and have no plans on go back, at least in the winter. Actually, this will be the first winter in my life that I haven't had to deal w/ all that the cold and snow brings on. So far so good, went kayaking today and it was great (and had to put on sun screen).

safe travels

Thanks ETRIPPE. We are actually getting our first dusting of snow this evening. Medically I could not take another winter like we had last year.

Oh how I envy you guys getting out of the cold during the winter months. I have one more year to work, then we're making the big purchase and joining all of you. DH is retired and disabled and I'm working right now just for the down payment on the motorhome. Have no clue yet what I'm going to buy or even what price range to look at...but do have my "wish list" ready for the amenities in it! A bed, a potty, a full fridge, and a tank full of gas!

Love hearing your tales of kayaking and other "winter luxuries". Keep 'em coming until I can pass along a few of my own!!

You might want to start looking around some now. Credit is very tight. Even with excellent credit, I am having a hard time finding financing to replace our motorhome which burned 9/29. Good Luck, Ronnie

Suggest looking now for great deals on MH. DH and I were planning to buy next year but was given a good deal on a new Fleetwood Terra. Price difference was not much different than buying used MH. Also was given good price on TT trade in. The extra year allows us learn all of the features of MH and to work out any "bugs".
