Wanting to know about your satellite tv requirements. As a Canadian travelling I have Shaw Direct/*choice but am considering Dish also. Can I subscribe to Dish in Arizona and bring it home with me in the spring?
Thanks, KB

Dish for Snowbirds = Yes, Dish for Canadians = probably not, without trying to establish a permanet address in the lower forties.

If you have Starchoice/Shaw Direct at home, then you are fine to use it right down to Southern Mexico with larger dish. Just call Shaw Direct and get the RV package (an extra larger dish).

For coordinates, we use Dishpointer

Why not? Just don't tell them that you are in Canada. They are aliened with Bell so they have an agreement not to encroach on each other's territory. As long as you don't have trouble the satelite signal does not know where your dish happens to be.

we are taking our starchoice dish and receiver this yr. Called Shaw, got the 75cm dish, already had a receiver and registered the trailer to the address in Arizona-thats now our "cottage". There has never been a problem using Starchoice..

Any time we've started a new satellite TV subscription (both with Dish Network and DirecTV), we've been asked for our SS#. That would probably be the stumbling block for Canadians trying to subscribe to one of the U.S. satellite TV companies.

Which service are they using, though? Dish Network and DirecTV?
