Maybe the look of the next Dodge-based Class B.

I googled in on a Fiat Ducato owner feedback website and many of the owners weren't very happy with their purchase; lots of small things that went bad that were irritating to the owners. Hopefully Fiat gets the quality improved before it's used by American or Canadian motorhome manufacturers. Looks like they're sold all over Europe, at least the UK, France, and Germany.

The lower power and GVW compared to the Sprinter 3500 might work against it. But if the price is right.

I can definitely see Dodge selling it as a van.

IMO extremely acceptable to the eye Burl!, as others mentioned, I've read bad reports on reliability...

I don't have any real interest in this product one way or another, but wonder how many happy owners or trouble free owners would bother to take their time and google in their opinions. This is true for any product. When you are unhappy, you make every effort to let everybody know about it! Just my observation of product comments/ratings made on the web.

Here is a repeat of my post in September when this topic was discussed before. There are some interesting links - sorry but the clickability doesn't transfer and I'm too lazy to re-do them, copy and paste isn't that hard:

I just found this article and it looks like Dodge is also looking at the Iveco Daily.

http://wot.motortrend.com/6577842/auto-n........-sourced-sprinter-replacement/index.html

From the reviews I found, it seems to fall between the very high ratings of the Sprinter (Europeans seem to love it - average 4.5 to 5 stars) and the not so great ratings of the Ducato (average 3 stars). The Iveco seems to get 3.5 to 4 stars.

Here's a British link that rates all of them:

http://www.parkers.co.uk/vans/reviews/

and another

http://www.autoweb.co.uk/new-car-review/Fiat%20Ducato%20Van%20range

Interestingly the most positive ratings on the Ducato that I found seemed to come from those with a conversion.

It seems like the the really significant advantage is the front wheel drive of the Ducato offers lower-profile rigs and perhaps better handling due to lower center of gravity.

They do look nice, as well.

I owned 1 Fiat for 7 months, never again, I'd rather walk (actually I had to because it wouldn't run).
A front wheel drive isn't an option for me either, throw the Fiat quality mfg in too, and I can say with absolute certainty, I will never own one.
