So it's that time again and I was wondering what oil all of you are running in the onan's.

That is a gas engine so any good oil will work but I recommend you use a synthetic as it is a better oil and will give you better performance in both hot and cold use. Eddy

Try the Owner's Manual. Written by the people who designed & built your generator. Who is better qualified to make a recommendation about lubrication?

I would except my trailer didn't come with one. In the past I ran Full synthetic but today the dude at the parts store said no to run 30wt non detergent.

you can download the owners manual from then onan website. It includes troubleshooting and everything...

I don't believe non-detergent is recommended for many modern engines.

Why would anyone go from the best oil made (Full Synthetic) to the worst oil non detergent?
