I would like to hear some tips from those of you who use covers. Things like what are the wear spots where you protect against abrasion, before I install it.

I already have the cover. A Goldline made by Carver Industries that I bought for my 2000 Jayco 292 Quest. It came with some self adhesive material to put at wear points. It appears to be well made. Looks like the same type material used for the cover on my Waverrunner.

Problem areas I had were the edges of the ladder. I covered each step end with the swim noodles.

Around the corners of your awning, bumper and jacks if you have them or anything that protrudes on the outside of the campers skin.

The corners are the only place i pad - the rain gutters will ripp the cover in the first heavy wind if you don't pad them.

I used the pool noodles on my Antenna (radio) stump after removing the antenna, the ladder rails, wind shield wiper arms (noodle). Some areas were to protect the cover as much as protect the finish. Bill

On my manual Awning, the lever you throw to open or close it pokes hole every time.

Remove the drip spouts that you add to gutters to stop black streaks.

Bubble wrap works well. I remove the gutter extensions at each corner first, then use bubble wrap at all corners and all the other places that have been mentioned. You can buy it in rolls at Staples stores.Works well for me.Hope this helps.

I usually just stand on a stepladder and tuck it under at each corner once the cover is in place. You can use some clear duck tape at other places.
