PA12, it has changed over the last few years. Seems to me it used to be set at 4 years? Is it going up or down on the next change?

Technically, the "duration" would have to go to 7 as of either next Monday or Tuesday...however, the big thing is that the "temporary" displacement is becoming exceptionally temporary, something in the nature of 45 - 90 days...sometime in 1Q of the new year, the displacement feature will go away.
Regarding the aircraft, the PA12 is a Supercruiser with an 0-320 (circa 350 SMOH, IIRC) that is currently being rebuilt with ALL the Alaska mods (read = Big $$$) anticipate ready for covering in January. One of the mods is an STC for that can accomodate "any 0320 with X mount" or " an 0360 with Y mount".....if bonuses pay out as anticipated, there may, just may, be a 180 horse in the future, but still worried about how those shake a 63 year old airplane.
PA12, good for you. Did you keep your home in Anchorage? Guess you could always move out to your cabin. LOL
The plane getting finished, sounds as if you could be a difficult man to find, once it is done and you guys are back in Alaska.

Well, I still have to work, but having negotiated a pretty generous vacation package....I suspect that the amount of time spent at the house will be quite minimal. No. 1 son has pointed out all of the areas of the state that he hasn't hunted yet that would be perfectly served by a PA12. He's also pointed out that winter is a great time to chase coyotes.
Not sure that I want to undertake a lot of winter activities in January and February after having been in Texas for several years.
