We have been looking at buying a Fifth wheel for full time living, and are undecided on the enclosed bath or the split bath. With the shower in the bedroom is the steam and moisture a problem. And are there any other things that should be a concern.
You'll hear a pretty good split on this topic. Some people like each type. I have the split type in our MH, and like it, as it give us more room, using the hallway as part of the bathroom, when the doors are set properly.
Moisture isn't any more of a problem with what we have, though the vent fan is in the toilet area, not the shower area.
Can't speak for the single units....but I'm sure those people will chime in soon....and be happy with what they have.
Best answers will come from those people who have had several RVs over the years, and had both types.....should be able to give you the pros and cons.

We have a split bath now and like the extra room it gives to shower. We run the exhaust fan and have no moisture problems. Ours is a 33' unit. We stayed in a trailer with an enclosed bathroom for a few weeks and didn't like the hallway or the small bathroom. The owners of the trailer said they prefered the enclosed bathroom so one person could sleep while the other showered. Everyone has their own likes and dislikes.

Like Pappappy suggests, we have had both and just love our roomyseparate facilities we have now. No condensation problems, so far, but for us if the windows aren't open, the air condit. is on.
We like the fact that people can use the bathroom and not be in the bedroom. The bedroom stays darker for sleeping in or naps, because it is separated from the shower skylight. Our bathroom has a door in the hallway and a door to the bedroom - I highly recommend that.
You do loose some space in the bedroom, but not enough to outweigh the advantages
Our is like a split bath but has a door at the top of the stairs and also a wall with a wooden sliding door on the other side. Really like that layout.
We've had both and both have their up's and down's. The splits give a bit more room on average but that is really floorplan dependent IMO. We went with an enclosed bath this time around b/c with children and other family we got tired of having portions of the RV "walled off" at one time or another in the last unit. On the other hand you better not need the can in an enclosed bath unless you are real friendly with the person in the shower or you have to wait! That's not much of an issue for us compared to keeping the flow from front to back open so it is just all in what you want.
Steam has never been an issue for us with either style. If your in the shower or having a #2 it is understood that the fantastic fan is ON in our house!

Wife and I have had both. We will have to say that with our adult children camping with us sometimes at the lake, the enclosed bath allows us to get to bed, without worrying who is in the shower next. We always had to wait to go to bed because of this. Now we can get ours first and get to bed. With our other style, it was no problem for the wife and I if we were the only ones camping in our 5er, but with guests, it seems easier for us with the enclosed bath.

we've had both, being just the two of us (except for the dogs) we like the split better, more room. no problems with moisture. i see how you could like the seperate bath better if you had kids or liked more privacy when showering and ect.
I prefer the all-in-one room enclosed bath. If you have guests staying with you, they can use all the bathroom facilities in privacy. The bedroom stays private as well. If you were just a husband and wife, and you never planned on having guests, then the split bath may give you extra room. If you don't like watching your spouse bathe, then the enclosed bath is the way to go. It does look like the split bath is the most popular, however.
