With the weight of the toyhaulers, go big. I have '08 F450 DRW with 4.88 rear. Wouldn't want anything smaller with a 18000# Cyclone.

We have an 09 F350 cc xlt drw 4x4 with tow boss. The brake controller from Ford works great. The 4.30 rear really pulls also. No one mentioned the tow haul mode for the automatic transmission though. Maybe they are included in the regular F350's I don't know but mine makes a difference when I am towing our tow hauler. Better shifting all around.

Of note on the tow haul mode- first time I used it, went down a slight grade and the truck started downshifting. About scared me out of the cab!!! It revved so high I disengaged it! Talked to my sales guy, and he told me these 6.4 were designed to rev a lot higher than the old motors. (I had a 7.3 before this one) Just something to be aware of if you never used one.

Tow/haul is a great feature. It really helped coming down a 12,000' pass in Colorado. Would have fried the breaks without it.

Tow Boss has the Dana Super 60 front end, normal 4.10 gears is in the Dana 60. The rear end is the Dana 80. Same for both 4.10 and 4.30 gears. You get the bigger receiver with the Tow Boss package. It will handle a 2.5" receiver.

The IBC rocks. Plus in Tow/Haul, the tranny will down shift and hold it to give engine braking. But you get that with all of the Torqshift trannies.

I believe when the Tow Boss came out it also had larger brakes than the regular model and went from 16" wheels to 17".
