I tow a 08 Honda CRV with I think a 65 mph limit. The "sweet spot" on my coach is 60 mph and I rarely exceed that. When on "long hauls" (4 hours or so) or at any time I want to "stretch my legs" I always check my Honda, towing hitch, etc. and most of the time start it up and run it through the "towing procedure". Not that many miles on the Honda (probably 8,000 towing) but no problems so far.

Just a comment if you are looking at a vehicle to pull.... it also "pushes" so weight is a factor to consider.

We run at 58 mph. Times we have been around 70, but we enjoy the sights and safety at 58. If we want to get there faster we'll fly.

I don't think that any manufacturers have done a study showing that at 64 all is well but at 66 the thing blows up. I would guess they are conservative and wouldn't hesitate towing slightly above their "allowable" number. But the last time I got my motorhome up to 70 going down a mountain was the last time that is going to happen.

Whether or not my HHR has any kind of speed limit....to me doesn't really matter. Altho I do have "bursts" of 70 or so...sometimes y'gotta do that to survive....I almost always have the cruise control set around 60-62...otherwise the gas gauge drops all to fast. And I get there 4 minits later. So what?
And...in addition to MAANPA...."we'll fly"...now the pilots are falling asleep? Missing the airport by 150 miles? Wow. RVing is getting betterer and betterer.

I might beleive they actually tested the max speed for towing if it was 63.4 MPH.

Look at GM, A lot of theirs has no MPH restrictions. Our Tahoe doesn't that I can find.
