If I’m on shore power (inverter switch in the off position, inverter panel displaying DC Volts @ 13 and DC Amps @ 10, AC INPUT and INV/CHRG light is lighted), the batteries wouldn’t come into play when extending or retracting the slide would it???
The slide in the Eagle is mechanical, it uses an electric motor and gears to work the slide.
Thanks,
Pops

Don't know about your Eagle, but my slide motors are 12V and work off the battery and if not plugged in, I have to have the generator running to ensure proper voltage to the slide motors.

The slide more then likely is powered by the battery. Since you say it is gear driven that is almost a sure thing. It takes a lot of current to move slides. Being plugged in will help the battery but not a great deal.

Not unless the slide is wired direct to the battery bank. Turning the inverter creates 120 volt power. On our DSDP the slide motors are 12 volt and do not require the inverter to be on to work. I assume when we are on shore power the batter bank operates the slide motors, but have never checked. I know the inverter will charge the battery bank even when it is in the off position. Not sure how you get 12 volts to the slide motor when you are on shore power.

Slide works off of Batteries, inverter / converter usually has a battery charger inside. be sure batteries are full of distilled water, charged, cables clean and tight is the first things to do
We have a 96 HR with the one big kitchen slide, electro-mechanical. It operates off the batteries, I don't know if chassis or house. On ours the switch got bumped and stuck while driving and burnt out the windings in the motor. New motor $400. I had it rewound for about $100. Works good again. Luckly it happened with the slide in because I can't see how to move it manually. Thats one reason I didn't want to replace with same motor as I think a motor with a crank could be retrofited in its place. Anyway I had to take off the guards to get to the motor where I was able to check for 12V which I had, that pointed to a bad motor.

Batteries are a year old (x4 6 volts). I check the water level once per month when I exercise the genset.
About three weeks ago, I had to replace the pin in the slide’s gear (it sheered off). Since replacing the pin, when I retract the slide it pauses (actually stops) about half way.
When this happened, I’d extend the slide a few inches then retracted the slide. After repeating this procedure a few times, the slide will retracted fully into the rig.
I’ve been trying to figure out why it’s doing this.
Check to see that the pin has not come out a bit and binding up.
On my slide control board I have the thrust adjustment. Check to see if you can increase the thrust on yours. It only take a hair of a turn to increase the thrust.
