When are you going?
They get lots of snow in the Cascades during the winter. If you are going in the summer Lava Lands National Park and Newberry National Volcanic Monument are super. Lava Cave and Lava Cast Forest are also just south of Bend. From Bend 20 is a good route to Idaho. Craters of the Moon is interesting, just outside of Idaho Falls. Most Oregon State parks have water and electric. Very nice parks.

I'm sure you will get lots of good suggestions from folks who have been to Oregon. In addition, the Travel Oregon website has lots of good info. Check the travel websites for the other States you will be visiting for similar info.

Hope this trip is planned for next Spring or Summer. Now is not the time.

If you're an avation nut like me, there's Evergreen Avation in McMinville where the Spruce Goose is, and a ton of other stuff, as well as the Tillamook Air museum. (Used to be a blimp hanger during WW II. There's also the Columbia river maritime museum in Astoria, the oldest settlement west of the Rockies. Fort Stevens State park at the mouth of the Columbia river, as well as Fort Clatsop where Lewis and Clark spent the winter before heading back east are also in the area.

All of these things are in the northwest corner of Oregon near Portland.

The entire coast, especially from Coos Bay to Astoria, is what to see and do in Oregon. The state has an excellent park system and publishes a good color booklet describing each one. Call and they will mail you a copy.

Another vote for the Spruce Goose Museum in McMinnville. There are about 70 other aircraft in and around there besides the Goose. There is a nice RV park right next door.

Winchester Bay RV Park about 30 miles South of Florence, OR is one of the nicest RV parks we have ever seen. Beautiful place.

there is so much beauty in Oregon, you just don't know where to start. I've lived here for over 60 years ans still haven't seen all I want to see. Of course, I do a lot of return visiting.

And how much time you have for the Oregon portion of the trip.
