Lets put things into perspective. Most RVs on the road today have 120V/30A service and doing fine. The 240V/50A service consists of two 120V/50A phases 180 degrees opposite. You can install the inverter with a built-in 30A transfer switch into one of the phases provided you put 30A circuit breaker in front of in to protect it. This way you end up with phase 1 limited to 30A and phase 2 limited to 50A. Choose carefully which phase to limit to 30A (not the one feeding the A/C). The beauty of the built-in transfer switch is that you don't have to install subpanel and installation is much simpler. Without the description of YOUR electrical system it is difficult to be more specific.
