My TC slides sideways on the truck. There is less than 1/2 inch on each side by the wheel well. I have two small locked doors on the backend. I can see where one of them is almost touching the edge of the truck. I have had to move the camper over twice now. fortunately it only needs to move about 1/4 inch and then the door clears.
I also have to let you know that the camper sites on top of some 2/4 to raise it over the 5th wheel base hitch. I have the Happy Jac tie downs and have read and reread the instructions on how tight to put the tiedowns and follow that religiously.
1. Do all slide in campers slide a little bit side to side?
2. Does this happen because it is sitting on the raised platform?
3. Should I forget about it and not back the camper all the way up to the cab? That way the doors would jam against the truck.

I like the KISS principal...
I cut 4 pieces of 2X6 lumber that fit the space on each side... front and back. I put them in when I load the camper... it may slide a 1/4" then the board stops it.
I've been doing it that way for close to 40 years.

What you should do would be to put some pieces of wood into your box that allow you to clear the fifth wheel hitch, but also have stops to prevent sideways sliding. The camper will fit into slots and your two by fours or wider pieces will run from side to side, just fitting between the side walls.
The camper will then fit into pieces screwed to the sideways pieces. As you lower the camper into the box, it helps if the wedging pices are tapered so the camper will slide down into the perfect place.
Adding another piece across the very front would prevent the camper from slipping forward just off the doors.

Loose the bedliner - IF you have one, then add a rubber mat, should do the trick

I use a rubber bed mat. No sliding around.

Many people use a piece of foam in the bed of the truck to raise the camper. I would take that approach and cut out for the 5er hitch parts. I cut my rubber mat to fit over the 5er rails and it worked fine with foam.

I had a rubber mat only and it would still slide slightly in the bed - I added 3m traction strips on the bed floor and it solved that issue.
I glued grey indoor/outdoor carpet to the rear tailgate opening to make sure that if it did slide over and make contact that no damage would occur (my camper is fiberglass...)

Can you secure the 2x4 platform to the camper? Maybe the camper is sliding on the 2x4's? My 2x4 riser for cab clearance is secured to the bottom of the camper and it's sitting on the line-x spray on liner and it doesn't move.

Thank you all. I think the Foam, or the Traction Strips might be the answer.
I will also look at the possibility of anchoring the boards down.
It will just depend on which way I get to first.

I've got 5th wheel hitch rails in my bed too.
So I did this to the bottom of my camper.
The boards on the bottom not only allow clearance for the rails, two of them are positioned to land right in front of the two rails, and prevent the camper from sliding to the rear. The boards on the front of the camper and the truck bed keep the camper from sliding forward. The boards on the sides of the tub keep the camper centered between the wheel wells. Since I've done this, the camper no longer moves while we are on a trip.
