I always carry a 30ft extension and adapters to go from 30 to 20 or 50 to 30 also carry extra sewer house that I have had to use more often than the extension cord.

One thing to watch out for if you have children that have their own campers and travel with you they always depend on borrowing your stuff never to be seen again.
I really don't mind I just have to remember to pick up new sewer house before next season.

There are view sites that we will pull into head first, (if we are not in our neighbors face), extensions fot power, water, sewer are a must.

We have a 30' 50 amp cord permanently attached. We also carry a 30' 50 amp extension, 2-30' 30 amp extensions and two 100' 20 amp cords. So far no troubles getting power except at one fair grounds where the closest power was 500' away! The gen got a workout that weekend

Our MH has a 30' cord built in... we purchased a 30' extension and have only had to use it for one campground, but that one also required about 40' of sewer and 50' of water. Weirdest layout in the world, but we were happy to have all the extensions we carry around.

I carry all the extra adpaters, cords, hoses (sewer & water). Alot of sites are setup for rigs of all sizes. You will find yourself needing to position your TT for a variety of reasons. BBQ grills, letting the awning out, trees, shade, sun, slide outs, pushing to the back of the site for more "nature", etc.. Don't limit yourself to just that 25ft cord.

I guess I missed the part in in your first post where you said, "Gulfstream Gulfbreeze". My camping buddy (Paul)has a "Gulfstream Insbrook" and his cord has become tangled within it's compartment, to the point where he can only pull out a foot or so. On the last trip we futzed with it for half hour trying to get more out. Did I mention we were at a Massachusetts State Park, where one power station supports 4 sites fifty feet away? I had to give him one of my 50'30 amp extensions. I told him it was total unacceptable that the cord would come out and offered to take the "Sawzall" to the retainer box under the stove. However, he declined the offer stating he was all set with this new extension.

You can get a very nice extension cord at places like Camping world. Lee's RV, Joe's RV, General RV, Wall-mart

I would get one

I find I often need 50 feet.. Occasionally more (I've hit 100 feet) but that's rare

For one extension use a 30 amp cord.. If you need to go much more than one you might wish to switch to a 50 amp cord, much heavier and more expensive but with a pair of dogbone adapters the cord will exhibit less voltage drop than a 30 amp cord due to larger wires.

I like to elevate the plug/socket where the two cords join by the way.

I've camped @ Arrowhead & Algonquin in Ontario & a 25' cord + the shore connection is the bare minimum. I picked up an extra cord @ the CW in Statesville NC the other week.

You might not use it very often, but when you do need it, you'll be glad you have it.

I carry an extension cord. Have only needed it once so far, but better than having to purchase something in the campground store! This particular campground had 1 power/water pole between 2 sites, and naturally it was on my passenger side. I needed extra hose, too, and fortunately I carry extra lengths of that, too.

My motto: be prepared.
