Its been some time now since I have posted a problem here. I have an on going problem with the windsheild comming out. I have a 2006 Magellan 38 foot. The problem started from day one. The machine was returned to Thor before the first year and they told me that the windsheild was installed wrong and that they had corrected the problem. Well from time to time I notice that it was coming out again but the next day it would be back in the correct position (somewhat) and I didn't think to much about it. It has now come to the point where I have to pull the rubber back in at the end of each days travel to keep water out. This worked for a while however I have just returned from vaction and have been unable to get the rubber seal in place as the windsheild has come out to far at the top. I understand that this seems to be a problem with units of this year that were made by Thor. I need a fix. All the posts which I read seem to have the same problem but none seem to have a fix. Can any of you guys help me out here. I live in Toronto, Ontario.
Thanks
Ken
I assume the glass opening in your motorhome was cut to big. The only solution I see is to find different size rubber channel. These channels are made in different profiles and sizes. Google "winshield rubber". One I found: Windshield rubber profiles
Our previous class A had problems with the windshield panels trying to pop out, especially at the bottom outside corners. We had a glass outfit here in Yuma come out to fix the problem on site. They removed the windshield one side at a time and completely removed any old glue and debris from the fiberglass opening in the front of the coach, from the windshield panel and the rubber gasket. Then they used primer on the fiberglass opening, the windshild panel and the rubber gasket. Then they applied a continuous bead of glue into both channels of the gasket and reinstalled the windshield panel. If the glue did not squeeze out evenly at any point they added more glue to make sure everything was completely sealed. They did both sides, charged me $300 dollars per side and said they guaranteed the panels would not come out again. We let the glue dry for 24 hours before leaving for the next CG. The windshild panels never moved after that and they were still in good shape when we traded 3 years later.

I had the same problem in a Fleetwood product that I owned a few years ago. I had the windshield reset three times and each time it worked it's way back out. Fleetwood said the hole was cut too big and they had me bring it to one of their factories for a fix. They built the opening up with fiberglass and reset the windshield, and when I traded it a couple of years later, it was still properly in place.
