I'm going to retire in 150 days and I have friends that live in Peeples Valley, Az. . I've never been there and would like to live in the Peeples Valley / Yarnell area during the winter months. Has anyone ever stayed in these areas? Any, RV Parks or places to live in my motorhome. Thanks, John

John
I never looked for a place to camp at Yarnell or Peoples Valley as my only interest was playing in the old gold fields.
Peoples Valley is higher in alt. so it is colder. I know there are some camping areas for prospectors around Congress & Stanton but the road to Stanton is only a trail.
It's a little out of they way (about 20 mi.) but Fairhaven rv park at Aguila is fairly good & reasonable on price. Lots of interesting people winter there as in rodio people, prospectors & rockhounds.
Check out Weaver Mining District. between Congress & Yarnell.
Good Luck

You might have better luck in Prescott or Prescott Valley. They aren't far from there and have several places to select from. Wickenburg would be another option.

Congress has the Escapee's North Ranch. It's a co-op park with most sites leased but there are maybe 20 or so parking sites with hookups on a gravel lot with a few trees. $14.50 a night or $85 per week.

Thanks Dan, I might have to change my plans and get closer ( west) toward Quartzsite. I would like to have a paved site with utilities, I need 50 amps to run the coach and, I'm looking to spend around $400.00 per month or less on a RV space. I would prefer to be in a small town or city where there's not a lot of people. I was driving through Yuma about a decade ago and passed an RV Park and there must of been 100 RV's 10 feet from each other! That's not my cup of tea. John

Thanks Dennis, I really enjoyed your posts over the years! I missed your post because we were typing at the same time. Were going to keep our home in Port Orchard and live there May thru October. I'm into warmth more than cold so I'm thinking of moving more west toward Quartzsite. John

Check out Salome or Brenda. Salome has a nice little golf park, about 40 miles east of Quartzsite on HWY 60. Brenda has several nice parks and is only 15 miles or so east of Quartzsite.

the cold in Wa.is a very damp cold that goes right thru you , we lived in OLYMPIA wash. before moving here
