Not from me, but from our Motorhome! When going down the road, it seems like all the noise is coming from where the inside plastic molding touches the windshield and where the plastic pieces of the dash fit together.

These noises are pretty annoying. I have tightened all the screws, even replacing some with larger sizes to keep everything snug. But, the problem seems to be the hard plastic rubbing against whatever it touches (other plastic, the inside of the windshield etc.)

I would appreciate suggestions as to what to do to eliminate such noises.

TIA

Spraying the joints with silicon helps.

On my last drive I came up with noises I had never heard before. I tightened this and that; and filed plastic I thought was rubbing. I finally, almost by accident, found this

and this

one is directly under the driver side dash/floorboard the other is under the passenger dash/floorboard. Once these are repaired I think the cockpit noise will be gone.

All motorhomes creak and groan to some degree. Silicone, sprayed madly, does help for a while. Ear plugs are good and turning up the radio is a trick used by many seasoned RVers. The hard part is getting the silicone into the regions that are causing the noise. You may have to remove some of those screws and blast away. Personally, I'm hoping that as I get older, my hearing will continue to deteriorate. Thus, by 2020, our motorhome will be as quiet as a church.

I had a creak/rattle that I would have sworn was coming from the front right passenger area towards the dash. It's funny how one can interpret noise but in the end it turned out to be the entry door latch; a small adjustment and no sounds any more.

You may try cutting felt into strips and putting them between the offending pieces of plasting then tighten the screws ....

It is really hard to pinpoint Squeaks while driving down the road. It is even harder to do when the thing is parked! You have to have a Co-Pilot to take care of those sorts of little problems.

I went as far as removing and re-fitting some of the plastic (especially around the TV over the dash). I would say we reduced the sounds by at least 50% or more.
