Wish all you want. I'm telling you, all NASCAR-owned speedways will REMAIN on the schedule. And, they are NOT going to flatten the turns. However, they MIGHT raise the price.....
IMO the demise of NASCAR has been greatly exaggerated.

HA! I'm actually home and there is a truck race on tonight in a few minutes.

If harvick is running I'd like to see him win tonight.

Flatten the turns!! Leave the cars alone!! No need for restrictor plate!! It just seems too simple to me. Guess that's why I am not in charge.

Right, turn it into Pocono.

You have to hate gas mileage races. Several have been good at winning this way over the years Darrell Waltrip at Daytona and Ricky Rudd at the Brickyard. A lot of drivers missed out on an opportunity to cut into Johnson's point lead. The way NASCAR likes to dictate races with their competition yellows, and green-white-checker rules, I was suprised they didn't throw a yellow for the mysterious debris on the racetrack. I'm not a fan, but Kyle Busch dominated, but did everything but win the race. Best race of the weekend the World of Outlaws World Finals. Both the late models and sprint cars put on a good show.

I agree that the best racing of the weekend was the World Finals for WoO. I wish somehow they can actually show how fast these cars are really going. You miss so much on TV...much better in person! My prayers go out to those hurt at the track on Wednesday and to Rick Eckert, family & friends for losing Raye Vest.
Rest in Peace Raye Vest!!

Grew up in Indiana been to the 500 several times, and to the Brickyard 400, but my favorite racing is to go to Knoxville, Iowa on a Saturday night to watch sprint cars.

Dale Jr. stands by family and puts Tony Eury Jr in the crew chief role on his nationwide car?

Quote:

Earnhardt recently said he wanted to hire Eury for the Nationwide Series team that he drives for on a part-time basis. He wanted this in part so Eury would be reunited with his father, Tony Eury Sr., who is the crew chief for the No. 88 Nationwide car.

He also felt he let his cousin and long-time friend down in the Cup series and wanted to give him another chance.

"Anybody that drives the 5 car next year, driver-wise, would have to be excited about that as well."

I realize some people will say that Jr.s inability to separate family from business may be one of his downfalls, but I have to admire him for sticking by family and friends, despite all the potential criticism. You don't see that much anymore, sticking by family that is.

Danica may drive for Jr. in nationwide series???
What's the latest on this deal? If this were to happen would Danica drive the number 5 car crew chiefed by Eury Jr?

Jr. + Danica = a marketing $$$dream$$$, regardless of performance I suspect.

Lost a lot of interest when the COT was introduced, all the cars are the same, it produces boring racing. Only excitment is a accident, and I really hate to see them. Sundays fuel race was only interesting portion of the race.

I would like to see a real Ford,Chevy or Toyota car with full factory engineering backing. Set up simple standard of engine size, total mimium weight then leave it up to factory or owner to determine how to win races. Anyone remember the old Indy races with diesel engines? Then NASCAR would really help put a better product on the road for us to buy.

There you have it! Dodges give you better fuel mileage than Toyotas. Just make sure you purchase USA brands, it's good for our own economy, right here in the USA. I buy GM, but I understand Fords are OK too....
Thanks NASCAR, without you most people would not know there's so much racing. Thanks for making it so easy to "go to the races".
Also, thanks to the Speed Channel for bringing me all the recent dirt races. Besides, WOO I also enjoyed the modifieds at the big Syracuse show.
