One of my leveling jacks will not go up by itself. I have tried wd40 on it and no luck! I can get it to go up with a 2x4 as a lever but not by itself,I wonder if a newer stronger spring will work? any Ideas.

What brand jack? I had the same thing with my right front hwh jack. Like you, I was levering it up with my trusty 2x4. The first and least expensive fix was to replace the springs, and at first that seemed to do the trick. But, not to be. Ended up replacing the jack. It took 6 weeks!!!!!! HWH has laid off a lot of its work force, so the wait time for parts is 4-6weeks.

If you're at home in MI the retraction will take a long time. Cold weather dramatically affects the time to retract. I usually push my r/f up with a board when I get tired of waiting.
New springs will help if yours are old.
Lay on the groung and get the model and serial numbers off a front jack and a rear jack. If they're HWH call them with that info and they'll sell/send you the proper springs. Different springs for different sized cylinders.

You have HWH jacks. IF you have to use a pry tool to raise the jack, then the upper internal seal is defective on that jack. You have to replace the jack cylinder. Either send it to HWH for a rebuild or buy a new one from HWH. Rebuilt is cheaper. New springs will not help your present problem. A correct functioning HWH jack---You can raise by using hand pressure. Doug

Not necssarily. You may have a problem with the solenoid valve that controls that jack. Call HWH and they will help you to diagnose your problem.

Jack
IF the jack retracts with a pry tool. the solenoid is open. If the solenoid was closed, then the jack would not retract at all. The solenoids do not "partially open or close". Doug (27 years of working on HWH jack systems).

Try wiping the cylinder down with 4 0 (0000) steel wool and Dextron. Worked for me and now that is the fastest jack to come up. Learned that from a retired Master Chief.

My rt rear hangs sometimes. It is the solenoid sticking. It is located directly below the controls which you can see under the mh. I tap mine with a hammer and it pops and it goes up. I have been trying to run them up and down once a week and it doesn't stick.

My rt front was the same. Just had new springs put on fronts and now they come up faster than they ever did before.
Spring kits were like $50/side, for that price I'd definitely start here.
