I am on my second set of SunGuards. First set lasted 12 years. Original set and replacement set came from here : SunGuard They will make them and ship them based on your coach or if you're in the Palm Springs area they will custom fit and install them on your coach. I am very satisfied with them. Dennis

I made my own using shadecloth purchased on line from Home Depot....they have a variety of colors and transparency. Total cost with shipping $28

Made them with a dowel sewn into each end and elastic loop on each corner...installed hooks on coach...I can install in 2 minutes without a ladder. No sags and they look better than some commercial ones I have seen.

Yep...we love the Sunguards also! We had the Prompts, but they looked tacky, and we gave them away.

We have the same type and are very happy with them.

Make that X4 - - love the fact that NO snaps and that I can put them up without any help - no ladder, etc.

Me too --- This past week in the keys, I had mine on in a couple of minutes and enjoying a cold one while the guy and gal next to me were still struggling with the ladder and snaps on theirs.

Yea the snaps screwed into the coach look so much better and the velcro looks so good too.

The Prompts looked tacky, sagged, needed a ladder to install, made out of cheaper material than the Sunguards, had a tacky rubber bungie that you had to pull across the side window causing the side window coverings NOT to fit flat and tight.

I can install my Sunguards faster than I could with the Prompts....even with the ladder, and the Sunguards LOOK like they are made for our particular unit! I really like the stainless steel snaps...no adjusting ever again!

I have black SunGuards...it took a bit as the first cut was not correct but they did make good on them and we were in 95 degree weather in July and they work great.....they look absolutely great on the coach too.

Or if you're handy with a sewing machine (like Joey) you can make your own.

Phase I - tape up the fabric and get your pattern:

Phase II - sew the whole thing together. Windshield and sun shade off of the awning ran $60 in cloth and took Joey about 2-4 hours for layout and sewing.

Phase III - Take DW out and promise her you'll never ask her to do another.

The good news there are lots of choices out there. Our prompt sunscreens do not sag and DH gets them installed easily. Course he is 6'5 so he doesn't need a ladder.

Another option to consider are shades from MCD. They offer an interior or exterior shade, duo shades for the house windows, wheel covers, skylight/vent covers. etc. We have the interior duo shades on the house windows, but we are happy with our Prompt Sunscreen so no need to replace them. If we ever did though we'd probably go with these & go to their factory in Texas to get it done. But I doubt we will unless I could keep the curtain -- I like having fabric inside for the softness/texture.
