Anyone familar with the roads from Barstow CA to Big Bear, not the freeway, the back way. Need to be there in June for a wedding and we are taking our 39' mh and toad. Also, any big rig friendly RV park recommendations?
There are a couple of switchbacks going up 18. I'd unhook the toad and have your co-pilot drive it up. The second switchback, turning to the right is extremly sharp and youn will have to swing wide to make it.
Big Bear North on the north shore towards Fawnskin is big rig friendly and so is Holloway's in Big Bear Lake.
I would call both to see if reservations might be needed.
